The creation of this work turned out to be the most unusual experience among everything I had drawn during the excavations. It was a reconstruction of the vegetable drying factory where prisoners once worked.
A local resident still remembered what the building looked like and described it to me in great detail. My task was to make quick sketches while they spoke. Eventually, I developed one of those sketches into a complete drawing with all the necessary details.
And this is what remains of the factory today:
