This artwork is the second pencil piece I created. It captures a tree in Aktailak that we found during the first archaeological survey. I found this tree especially interesting because of its unique structure compared to other trees in the area - quite large, wide, and completely leafless. One of our team members, Diana, was passing by and became the perfect addition to the artwork. Thank you, Diana!
